Bristlenose plec's in short supply!

Postby basja1991 » Fri Oct 28, 2011 2:26 pm

So after having my tank up and running for a month and a half now i decided it was time to get some fascinating Bristlenose plecs in the mix, however i have been to all my lfs and they've all said they are hard to come by this year! and if you do find one you will pay the earth for it!! i am based in basildon essex and this seems to be the same answer i get from everyone, can anyone advise of any suppliers locally or net based or even if they are having the same problem,

Many Thanks
Jason

Bristlenoses are great and not in short supply here - my tank has lots of babies in it lol - free to a good home and although I have given some to the petshop today I still have a few that are ready and more growing. PM me if you're interested - I'm in the Bexley area (Kent)

 I've never paid more than £3.00 for a Bristlie.

There are hundreds down here :)

Ive managed to locate a very nice chap who breeds hes bristlenose' and picked some babies up for a meesly 1.50! bargain! they already fascinate me with there own characters and the fact they never seem to sleep. its very strange that the fish shops round here dont appear to stock them anymore as there was a 'bad season for the suppliers' yet everywhere else seems fine. very peculiar, says a lot about some of the lfs round here
