Normal behaviour for sterbai cories?

Postby Eelecila » Sat Jan 28, 2012 8:27 pm

I've just added 3 sterbai cories to my tank and they are crazy! They keep swimming madly up and down and chasing each other. Is this normal?

i have 3 sterbai cories too, they also swim around up and down the tank and chase about. They did it a little more when they were first put in the tank, but I regularly see them doing it and they're eating well. I think it's just how they can be, and fun to watch!

On the subject of Sterba cories, I've got three of them in my 4 ft community tank. They eat everything the others have but so very rarely show their faces, preferring to hide behind a piece of log I have in the tank. I'm considering getting three more to keep them company, would this suit?

Yesterday I did a major replanting project, introducing another piece of log and another small rock somaybe this would give shy fish like my cories more confidence?

Corys love being in big groups so more is better. You should see them out and about more in a larger group.
