Mini Green Spotted Puffers

Postby veronicak5678 » Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:46 am

I got 3 of these guys yesterday and put them in my 20 long. They are the only fish in it. They seemed to acclimate right away and are very active with healthy appetites. The only problem is, the biggest one with the healthiest appetite keeps chasing the other two around the tank and nipping at them. Will this stop once they've settled in? I was planing on getting 2 more next weekend, should I do it sooner?

I don't much about puffers at all but someone else has recently got some dwarf puffers so I had a little read. The advice given was to have lots of plants, rocks and stuff on the botom so they could set up territories/break line of sight. Would this have anything to do with it?

I set up a lot of rock enclosures and the tank has a bunch of plants, so I don't think that is why. I thought at first he might just be chasing them out of one area, but he is chasing them all over.
