Pictures of my tank

Postby Bruno » Fri Jun 22, 2007 12:11 pm

I have not posted an pictures since I first set it up. Its now about 8 months old. The fishless cycle lasted a massive 14 weeks, but luckily I haven't had any problems, so I think it was worth it. Thanks to Bob (not seen him on here yet) Daz (danio expert) Dazzer and Sue for helping at the start.
Here's the tank:-

Once the kids have gone to bed and my albino bristlenose's come out, I will update with them as well. Noisey kids and catfish don't seem to mix!!

looks great!!!

I fixed one of the links for you

Is that bogwood retreat the only "cave" type option in there?? Or is there another cave for your bristlies to hang out in??

The female happily uses all the tank, but if she wants to hide she either turfs out the clown or goes into the end of the bogwood at the top. There is a hole that goes into the piece. The ruin on the left is where the male always hides. He will sit in there or suck all over it if the kids aren't around. If he wants to hide, he actually goes up inside the ruin between the moulded sides. He only just fits, but seems to love it in there. Do you think I need more caves?

Well if you want them to sucessfull breed they may need a nice cave of there own where they can both fit comfortable and the sand is protected from current and their line of sight to people is completely covered.

Thanks for the advice, I may have a re-shuffle! Is my clown similar to yours? He doesn't look it in the picture, but he is actually quite wide.
