Comets

Postby skooby » Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:43 pm

As some may already know, I was recently given a 75 litre tank measuring 30" long * 12" wide * 15" deep complete with a 10 yr old comet of about 4" long (6" with tail). Is this tank suitable for this fish or should it be in something bigger or in a pond. He / she appears to have plenty of room and I'm more than happy to let the little fella see out it's days in there if the tank is suitable.

you do realise that goldfish can live for 50 years yeah? XD but the tank sounds plenty big enough for just him, or do you have / plan to have anything else in there?

That's o.k, another 40 yrs I might be eating through a straw but should just about manage to drop a bit of food in the top  , mind you I'll have to get the (future) grand kids to do the water changes. I know I'm cutting it close with just the comet so will keep it that way. 8)

It will be fine in that tank. You may have problems if you decide to add a freind for him though. Goldfish do not mind being on their own.
