biting guppies

hi just bought my first tropical tank and i am having problems with my guppies biting each others tails?specifically one guppy is this usual ?

What sex ratio do you have? Unless you have all same sex, you should have 1 male to 2 or more females.
Also what sized tank and what else is in there?
Are you sure it is the guppies biting other guppies? Sometimes they also get fin rot which can look like something has nibbled at it.
Guppies, like any other fish, will take a bite out of inviting looking flowing tails.

The tanks 30 lires I have only 5 guppys and they are all males.idlike to gwt some differnt fish what would they go okay with ?

30L is very small so there are not many things that could go in there. Consider a trio of small corydoras catfish for the bottom level.
