Help with lighting

Postby Ryan1uk » Sat Nov 10, 2012 2:18 pm

I have a 5ft tank and was wondering what lighting I needed. It will have alot of plants in it. I have seen T5, T8 1, 2 tubes but not sure what I would need.

Any help will be much appreciated.

hi , im sure t5 is is the better of the two, as to how many bulbs im not sure. Mines a t5 and has 1 bulb but has two strips on it if you get what i mean. But like i said t5 is the stronger of the two and with you having lots of plants thats the one i would go for. sorry i cant help with the bulbs :/

The numbers refer to the diameter of the tubes. So T5's are narrower than T8's.
