I cant remember exactly but he is a twig cat or twig plec or something similar. Definately wasnt a loach.

He isnt the most beautiful fish but he has a certain charm to him, the way he bounces about like a grass hopper lol.

Yeah very original name "Twiggy" lol. :D

lol not sayin he is a loach just so loach-like, hes prob some form of plec im guessin as most catfish have barbels/whiskers

Hahaha, he was sort of like a stick insect when he was a baby, he was only about 1/4 of the length he is now and not nearly as round as he is now.

He is a great charachter but tends to be landed on by the big plec (whose head you can see in the picture - he is a poser).

Funny thing is he is the only fish the dog takes any interest when he is on the glass, they dont bother with any other fish in that tank.

Nice, twig catfish are very nice, BTW there are quite a few species of twig catfish and i think some can get past 10". :?

Farlowella is the other name for the twig catfish.

Yeah that is a common plec in the background posing, he is about 6" just now. I think there is a albino cory as well on one of the pictures.

lol hes upto another 8 inches growth in him yet,my sailfin plec is quite a poser and hes so active sayin there supposed to be nocternal n docile.

do you feed them cucumber,courgette etc mine love it,so do all the others in there

Yeah they love cucumber and courgette, so does the silver shark. Yeah i realise that he will get big but it is a 190 litre corner tank so should be enough room for him.

I moved the lump of cucumber in my other tank earlier and it was full on the inside of baby BN's so i just left it lol.

u sure thats a common? looks like he has more than 9 spines in his fin,cant see them 2 cout lol

Aha now you say that i have just counted them and there is about 12 or 13 spines, i just presumed he was a common plec but i am being told by my hubby that he doesnt think it is.
