overfeeding

Postby lislion » Mon Sep 03, 2007 4:53 pm

hi

last night i popped in an ice cube of frozen blood worms. the thing is, i only have 4 guppies, 2 mollies, 4 neons and a pleco. before i noticed that i put in far too much food the blood worms had dispersed all over the tanks substrate. about an hour later i checked my fish and every one of them where like baloons. they where that heavy they could hardly swim of the bottom of the tank. will i have seriously damaged them? i thought about not feeding them for a day or two. but is this the right thing to do. any suggestions are greatly appreciated

cheers

Don't worry, they should be fine. It's ok to not feed for a couple of days - they'll clear up any leftovers that are in the tank.

Keep an eye on them to make sure they all poop ok, getting stuffed could cause constipation :?
