Initially i fed them LIQUFRY NO2 then as they got older i started feeding Aquarian flake food which i ground into tiny flakes

Fry need little bits often. Finely ground flake is good as platy fry are quite large when born so Liquifry is not enough for them.
Keep feeding little bits, and often, of good quality food and if you can get hold of some live food (microworms, grindal worms or white worms) that would be even better.
Are they in the main tank or did you separate them into a small container? If separated into a smaller container they will need at least daily water changes.

I think you will find they grow a lot more slowly in a confined trap.
