Tetra acting strange

Postby teamjd » Mon Sep 10, 2012 7:08 pm

I've had 6 black neons in my tank for last few months and they've been fine. The biggest one has been acting strange. He looks like hes hanging in the current about 2/3rds of the way up the tank. hes still eating and isnt acting poorly. just wondered if anybody else has seen this

Could have internal parasites, or could be old. You have no idea how old fish are when you buy them. Neons should last at least 5 years and black neons a bit longer.
Can you see if the fins are clamped (hard on short finned fish I know), the gills are red, or if it is breathing heavily?
