Power back up UK

Postby JG777 » Sat Oct 27, 2012 8:57 pm

Recently I have experienced a few power cuts, nothing major most of about 1 hour but it has got me thinking about having some kind of external back up power.

What do you guys recommend? Im in the UK so needs to be compatible with UK kit?

Thanks for any response

Power cuts of a few hours are nothing and won 't cause major problems in the aquarium. If the room is cold just cover the tank with a blanket, duvet or something else to keep the temp up. A drop of a few degrees for a short period will not harm most fish.
If you want back-up power, buy a small generator.

What about a leisure battery, as sold for use in caravans & mobile homes?
