Cool gary.dont change too much to quick tho.would hate for ya to
Remove too much and wipe out alot of bacteria and cause the tank
To go into a mini cycle like the tank at the start of this thread.

i have been looking at the filter floss/wool on ebay.....it says it's best away from the initial stages of filtration,so it doesn't clog up....so i would defo put it up the top of ya filter,away from the bottom basket.

on a roll it seems quite cheap really.....mite get me some of that and see if it "polishes" the water up nicely..traps very fine particles by electro static adhersion apparently.

Just ordered a pack of 3 from the website you gave. Don't think I want to mess with the original upright sponge at the moment, but will add some to the baskets.

whatever u change just give it a good soak in tank water and the crud you squeeze out of old media..this will will it up a treat
