Eye problem on a Red Tailed Shark

Postby the_minch » Thu Dec 27, 2012 11:33 pm

Hi,

Tonight I have discovered our Red Tail Shark has one normal eye and his other eye is almost green in colour and almost puffed up. Can't take a photo as he moves so quick, have changed some of the water in the tank and added some internal bacteria medication along with removal of the carbon filter medium should this be enough to kill whatever it is that has caused this problem?

Any help would be appreciated, all other fish are fine in the tank apart form Mr shark :(

It is possibly caused by an injury (ran into something). Excellent water conditions is all else you can do and keep your fingers crossed.
