dropping into say hello

Postby pandacory » Sun Feb 24, 2013 8:23 pm

Been gone a while due to this and that, but now I have a little time thought I would pop in and say HELLO to the old regs and new members.
I just set up a new 120 litre aquarium. Got rid of the marine and 500 litre due to a house move and less room.

Hiya Stuart. Good to know you are still keeping fish, despite the downsize. 8)

not a 120ltr that was my mistake, put 10 buckets of water in assuming it was 10ltr but it is only an 8 ltr bucket so the tank is about 100ltr. Yes I know the maths don't add up but I have taken water displacement into account.
Caryl, I Always had fish since 6 years ago. I had the big tank with red shoulder severum and firemouths, Also a full reef marine with dwarf lion fish, Pyjama cardinal, royal gramma, and black spot damsel. I had to let them go as the new house was so upside down when we moved in we didn't anywhere to put the tanks let alone set them up. I gave both set ups to my mate, on the understanding if he decides to get rid of the marine set up I have it back now the house is sorted. Other choice is a large corner unit in the dining room, plenty in the local free ads or on gumtree.
It is nice to be back though

Markee, if your getting old then I must be near ancient. Just had my 51st birthday.

Glad to see some of the regs, I won't say old, still around.
Just a catch up, Still married, nothing going to change there. Little Steven is now 7. I now have 4 grandchildren, 3 girls 8 , 5 , 4, and little Harry who is 6 months old. Snoopy is a typical Jack staffy, lovely but has a mind of his own.
So how is everyone doing. Fit and well I hope.

And I'm a dinosaur as I'll 53 this year !
Good to hear things are looking up for you AF.
2012 was a very bad year, but I still have hopes for this one being a fair bit better. Looking at probable redundancy as an opportunity :-) I wonder whether that makes me a somewhat crazy dinosaur????

I am too as I was 54 in January.
We have been very busy updating our house and adding garage extensions.
Husband Grant is about to chuck in his job I think - a big decision as he has been there since he was 16 and is now almost 63. They have treated him badly the past 3 years and we have no engaged a lawyer and ready to file a personal grievance.
On the good side, he is being head hunted by a rival company 8)
No grandchildren here as daughter's engagement broke off and she moved away for a new start - partnerless. Son and partner have always said they have no intention of having kids but keep adding to their menagerie instead.
No animals here either, except the fish (and possibly the rogue turtle who hasn't been seen for a few weeks so may have moved on again).

I like this thread...........i'm the youngster :innocent:

Work is keeping me busy & the past year has been spent living out of a suitcase clocking up the miles, i'm currently near Lincoln (i've got 2 weeks left there) but i've got 7 weeks coming up near home so it'll be nice to be able to go home every night. After that i'm off to Cornwall for 6 weeks, beyond that i don't know
