Evening all.

Postby Charlie » Tue Mar 12, 2013 8:20 pm

I am back in the fishkeeping world, well almost.

After shutting my tanks down and selling most of the equipment, I kept a small 60cm, 80 litre tank in my shed with the intention of selling or dumping it. Had a clear out of said shed and found it in perfect condition and just needing a good clean. This stirred my interest in just having this tank set up as a hi tech (ish) planted tank with one shoal of small fish and some shrimps, so after clearing it with she who I never obey, I am currently in the process of setting it up.

Current stats are:

60cm tank
Overhead luminare
4 x bags of Fluval Stratum substrate
Tetra EX600 external
Possibly an inline heater
3 landscaping rocks
1 wooden branch piece.

I still have my CO2 system, which remarkably didn't sell, and I am going to dose with easy Carbo and Ferro.

Unfortunately, I have to make a small cupboard for it, so won't have any pics for a while. It's good to be back setting up a tank, and I have promised my wife, that until we move somewhere bigger, I will limit the size of the tank.

Hope you guys are all well?

Nice to be back guys. It really doesn't take much to get the bug back. Luckily I have a very understanding wife who basically let's me get away with anything

I will put pics up as soon as I can.

So what has everyone been up too? I have been busy with work and it seems to be pretty busy at the moment which is good, other than that nothing major has happened in my life, well apart from writing my car off before Christmas.
