Dyed fish reappearing in the UK?

Postby Rockfish » Fri Jun 26, 2015 9:11 pm

Unfortunately it seems that the issue of dyed fish in the UK needs addressing again, it's hard to believe that there are any shops that would actually stock these! I mean, what does it say to potential customers? To me it says "as long as we make a few quid out of it, we're quite happy to sell something that the vast majority of fishkeepers find morally disgusting" - seriously, how would that make you feel about other aspects of their services? Are they likely to care about selling you unsuitable fish, or taking money off you for equipment or dry goods you don't need?

Unfortunately there will always be newcomers to the hobby who don't realise what they're buying, but there's no excuse for a shop not knowing what they are selling - and if they genuinely don't, it tells you something about their level of interest and knowledge!
