Long time away

Postby pandacory » Wed Nov 25, 2015 8:52 pm

It looks like I'm not the only one who has been away awhile. This site was a big help to me when I started fish keeping. Life has moved on but I still have the 2 tanks a marine and a tropical.
Really popped back to see how all the gang are doing. Also to show I'm still around and not forgot you all.

Some of us have been here forever!
Very slow here these days though. I suspect people have moved to Facebook.
I still have my freshwater tropical tank and outdoor pond.
Now also have a grandson who just turned 1 :-)

Tried letting the tanks go a couple of years ago, Rockfish. Lasted about 2 months and had to get some replacements.
Congratulations on the Grandson Caryl. My family has expanded. My eldest got married and now has 5 children and Gwens daughter has a little girl. So between us its 5 grandaughters and 1 grandson so far.
Glad to see some of you are keeping well.

I'm sure lots of fishkeepers go through such phases when life gets busy with other things, but then feel the irresistible pull to have an aquarium or two again! :)

The nearest I've come to scaling down in the last two decades was cutting down to "only" about 12 tanks running, but I'm back up to 23 at the latest count!

Yeah i've been pretty much more miss than hit with visiting the site, got back from the Falklands earlier in the year, set up my big tank, had another operation on my knee followed by rehab, done some work related courses, set up a smaller tank for some shellies, got married for the third time, had a honeymoon in Florida and now it's christmas...............where has the year gone
