albino cory behaviour change, should I be worried?

Postby gingerj » Sun Feb 05, 2012 8:21 pm

Hi,

I have had a albino cory living in my community tank for about two weeks now, every day he has been wizzing around the tank like usain bolt. Which is great, as he add's a different dimension to other tankmates.

Today he has been sitting on the gravel and does not move a lot, jumps back up around but not as quick as he normally is, and then spends time back down on the bed.

Is there anything wrong with him and if so how can I fix him up?

Many thanks.

Don'y be worried, my bronze corys did the same kinda thing. What do you feed him and what type of substrate do you have?

The poor Albino is probably fed up! Cory's like to be in groups so providing you have stocking space get some more

Thank you to you both for the swift responses.

1. I am currently feeding the community tank with flakes and a weekly treat of bloodworms.
2. I have gravel not sand.
3. I am more than happy to purchase another albino, I thought given that I have a Juli they may pair up. Do cory's only mix with the same species? What is an
optimal number?

Yes often different types of Cory's 'team up' but that still only leaves you with 2

Regarding optimal number's, minimum of 5 dependent on tank size

Smashing, again many thanks for the help.

The albino feeling blue, it is not going to kill him? As I will not be able to go to the store until the weekend.
