Guppies hanging at top

Postby gallifreyocean » Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:26 pm

I've had 2 male guppies for about 1 week now and most of the time they seem very happy, the last couple of days they have both been hanging around the feeding ring, then when i'm not looking they will swimming about in the tank as normal, as soon as I look or go near they will continue to day dream at the top near the feeding ring. Is this normal?

They are training you to feed them
Guppies can hang about for periods of time, resting. I wonder if they haven't now worked out the food comes from this area when you are near so are reacting to your presence.

Thats probably what they are doing, they obviously have no shame!

I'm getting another male guppy of the same colour at the weekend and a cherry shrimp so they'll have more to investigate soon!
