tankmates for red finned black shark

hi there im wondering if anyone can advise me on types of fish that will be a good tankmate for a red finned black shark

i have a 110litre tank

any advise would be great as ive came across different advise from different sites and companies

please help i havent got tank set up yet as my 3 goldfish have just died and tank needing a good clean and im moving soon

wont be getting tropical fish till tank has cycled

What are the dimensions of the tank? A RTBS needs at least a 3ft tank (which I think yours might be) with lots of decor (plants, rocks, driftwood etc).
They are very territorial and get worse as they age so you need fish that can get out of their way and have places to hide.

hiya thanks for your reply my tank is 80cm by 35cm by 45 cm approx 110 litres

what kind of fish will be friends with a red finned black shark thats if my tank is big enough for them

I honestly think your tank dimensions are a bit small for a RTBS :(

i have to agree with carylnz,tank too small for a RTBS.

it would fit in only as a small juvenile and very quickly outgrow ya tank.not in a grow huge way but it's the space it needs and calls it own.

you will get major problems with any other fish coz it will harass them at the very least...

i love this fish too,my dad always had a RTBS in his tanks.the last one was a big ol boy :)
