Feeding cucumber to plecs

Raw or cooked? If raw, how do you stop it floating?

Feed it to them raw. Make sure you wash it well to get any pesticides etc off. I also peel the skin off for them too.

You can buy vegetable clips that have a sucker on that you can secure to the tank or as I do use a teaspoon to sink it to the bottom with a piece of cotton attached so you can easily pull it out again.

They will happily suck on it even if it is floating. I slice mine (and I do not peel it but wash it thoroughly) into 2cm wide rings and thread them onto a plastic knitting needle with a fishing sinker tied in the middle to make it sink. Others use a teaspoon through the centre to weigh them down. You can also buy one of these
