Hardscape only tank ideas

Postby dfinn » Tue Aug 06, 2013 2:11 pm

Hi everyone,

I've been very tempted recently to setup another tank, only got a little 55l community at the minute and thinking of doing something slightly different.

I'd like to try a hardscape only tank, with simple sand, then rocks +/- driftwood, no plants. I was wondering what everyone thought and which fish would be suitable. I'd quite like it to be a biotope so if anyone has any ideas for fish that would suit this type of scape would be great. I think the tank would be about 125l, sort of fluval roma/ Jewel lido shape, so Milawis are out of a question really.

The kind of look I'm going for would be quite minimalist, a bit like this ADG scape

Thanks,
