Hi Question about lighting

Postby Photoman » Thu Dec 18, 2014 5:02 pm

Hi everybody. I am new to the Tropical Tank. My question is. I have a 29 gal fresh water tank. It is planted. I was told that using an air stone at night will help the plants. Shut it off during the day. Has anyone ever did this? I had an airstone in the tank working at all times and found that the plants didn't grow and look very good. I took it out and they started to grow. I have Fulvel LED light on it. Thanks Jeff

I have used an air stone in my planted tanks at night and it was more beneficial to the plants than running it during the day, I had it set on a timer so that it would start a couple hours after the lights went off and stopped an hour or so before they switched on again, this was on a tank that had co2 injection during daylight hours.

there's always one
