Angel Fish black eye

Postby Stuieuieuieo » Wed Jul 04, 2012 7:31 pm

i've just bought an angel fish from that Mastin Moor aquatics shop in chester field and what i thought was part of the colouring of the fish has turned out to be something from with it :/ it's lost the ability to swim properly (it kept drifting over and getting stuck in the filter) but it's fins are still flapping as if it's trying to move and i've noticed one of it's eyes are black as if there is either something wrong with it or it's been attacked or something i'm not sure :/ i've currently got it sat inside the net to keep it away from the filter

I'd get a couple of photos of it and then speak to the manager of the shop.
If they're a decent place, you should be able to return it.

is it a normal illness though? i'm not too fussy about the money, more bothered about the fish and whether there is any chance of recovery?

It's really hard to tell without seeing it, but if the shop is selling substandard/diseased stock then they really ought to do something about it.
When did you get it?
