cloudy water

Get help on those urgent fishkeeping problems!

cloudy water

what am i doing wrong..all the ph and nitrate is bang on..
cycle attempts are done every week without fail.
not over feeding the fish,have around 20,mainly babies and 4 adult mollies..
water is just too cloudy to see half the tank...
even have bottom feeders and snails to help with the cleaning

Bacterial bloom. Leave your filter media alone for a few weeks, no cleaning. Should clear on it's own. :wink:

Agree with Rob, leave it alone and it will sort itself out.

thanks for that..shall leave it be for a few weeks...
what about the overhead light?.,i leave mine on for 24hrs,would that hurt it being on all the time?...

I would expect you would get major algae growth and the fish never have time to rest with the light on for 24 hours a day (wont do your electricity bill any good either). I have my light on for 10 hours on a timer plug. Gives the plants some light and then the fish can rest when its dark.

Get a timer. Neither fish nor plants like 24 hour light.
