Lethargic circling Gouramis

I have two male Dwarf Gouramis and also a couple of female of the same species ......... one of the males has suddenly after six weeks gone quite lethargic and slowly circling in a clockwise direction, sometimes laying on his back or swimming erratically. Overnight he got a little better, is feeding and swimming in a more even manner, but after a few hours looks tired again.

The ph and nitrate levels are fine.

Anyone had a similar problem and how was it solved or is it too late, I am going to bed now and feel he may have gone before morning..

Hard to tell.
Possibly been injured in a fight.
Dwarf gouramis seem to be sensitive to all sorts of problems.
I know in my country we have had problems with them suddenly dropping dead for no apparent reason!

Thank you for that from New Zealand, my son works in Wellington, sadly as I suspected my poor Dwarf Gourami is no more ........... the other three look fine.

I am wondering if the two males had a bit of a scuffle and the poor deceased male was the loser.
