|
|
I have a male betta in a 64L tank and wondered what else to put in there?
Any suggestions? I know they cannot be mixed with gouramis or guppys or fish that nip fins or anything with long flowing fins that he might see as a threat/competition.
Thanks Fiona _________________ Fiona |

Ours is doing great with some neon tetras, rasboras, and otos. I bought an extra tall plant, taller than the tank and fake, so it forms a canopy at the top of the water. This mimics their environment and he really likes to hang out there! _________________ Janet

| I had a betta that I kept with some zebra danios, black skirt tetras, corys, and a shoal of about 20 harlequins. He did great with them, mostly kept to himself. I "rescued" him from the local pet store (he was in one of those tiny cups) and I couldn't believe how his color improved, his fins spread out, and just how much better he looked in a real tank (55 gallon). |

I have a halfmoon blue/red/purple betta, and it is living in a 56l ClearSeal tank. I have had this tank up and runing for roughly 7 months.
I have the betta along with five neon tetras, three white cloud mountain minnows and a chinese algae eater - which as many people say - it is absolutly rubbish at cleaning the tank!
So i do not recomend on of those but i do reccomend a pleco. I had one, but unfortunly it got too big for my tank so i had to sell it.
These are good cleaners and got along very well with my betta and my other fishes.
Do not get a group of under four neon tetras or white clouds as they are schooling fish,
i bought my betta and two neons, and then i futher reserched the neon tetra and found out that they need to be kept in groups, so i bought three more, but there was a surprise in the bag when i got home - the woman at the pet shop had accsidently put in a white cloud as well!
As the neons and white clouds were in the same tank in the shop - i figurede that the white cloud would want a friend, so i went to the shop and got two more white clouds and a algae eater.
