Well just got back and what can I say. It was fantastic, a huge bonfire and fireworks that went on for about 20 mins and with music.
They had a big funfare there to but closest I got to it was the food wagon. Got a hot dog which was 12" long and piled on onions ketchup and burger sauce.
Will get some pics up once I get them of my phone. _________________ www.westsurreypoolleague.co.uk |

It's been raining here almost non stop for the past 3 days and last nights rain was unbelievable, so no fireworks around here Which is nice as my little man hates them. _________________ All Hate me cuz I'm Beautiful |

That's scary - how did that happen?!
I know most of the bigger displays around here are launched using automated systems and I'd like to think they're capable of preventing that kind of mess. _________________ Becky

Only 2 minor injuries and not even any scrub fires!
I have no idea how it happened Becky as I thought they were all in special containers meant to aim them in the right direction.
Many of our public displays are put on by local clubs or groups who get special instruction and certificates in handling fireworks of this nature. They are not run by companies who specialise in it and have all the fancy automated gear. Only the major cities have those and Whakatane is only a large town. _________________ My home forum is The NZ Fishroom http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/index.php |
