White spot - Black Molly

Iv got one black molly. I noticed yesterday a tiny little white spot on her side. Iv not seen her today so dont know if it is still there. If it is whats the next step to take?

try and quarantine it firstly could be white spot go and get some ick treatment to be on the safe side always handy to have about anyway
black mollies are a bitch for diseases
i am not a fish !!!!

...but then again, one spot does not mean whitespot. Keeping the treatment on hand is a good idea but do not use it unless you have a definite diagnosis.
Black mollies always show up things like that against their dark bodies whereas you wouldn't normally see one small spot on a different coloured fish.
