Common name:Twin Spot Puffer, Target puffer, Eyespot puffer
Scientific name:Tetraodon leiurus
Synonyms:(none)
Size:Up to 6" (15cm)
Origin:Asia
Tank setup:A medium-sized tank (suggest 30"/76cm for a single specimen) with a few hiding places and open swimming space.
Compatibility:An aggressive puffer, this species is best kept alone.
Temperature:23-26oC (73-78oF)
Water chemistry:A freshwater puffer, water chemistry is not critical - fairly soft to fairly hard, around neutral pH.
Feeding:Carnivorous: live and frozen foods including snails, mussel, cockle, prawn and earthworms.
Sexing:Unknown
Breeding:Unknown
Comments: This is one of several similar species in the "Target puffer" group.
