The Rainbowfish are a colourful group of fish originating from the Australasian continent and Madagascar. Juveniles often show little of their stunning adult colours, which may be why these fish are often overlooked in aquarium stores in favour of other midwater shoalers like barbs. They are lively, active swimmers and therefore require plenty of swimming space in the aquarium. They adapt to a wide range of water chemistry. |
